About the event

Alpaca Beats is the DJ moniker of 26-year-old Oslo-based Nicaraguan-Norwegian artist Alex Cardenal. As a DJ, he jumps smoothly across R&B, Soul, Disco, House, and Techno with a passion for spotlighting forgotten gems. Drawing on years as a record collector, his DJ sets and original productions carry a classic bounce. In the studio Alex experiments across styles ranging from Latin Folk to UK Garage and has collaborated with artists such as Darkowa, Tilla, and Sid Hart. He also released his first vinyl Adorable / Heartbreak in 2024 under his indie pop project Alex & The Alpaca. Alpaca Beats has performed at some of Oslo’s most respected bars and clubs, including events hosted by Fucket Freakkvens, Det Gode Selskab, and Øyanatt. He has also warmed up for artists such as Young Marco and Boston 168.
