Hassan Abou Alam is one of Egypt’s most influential electronic music exports. Based in Cairo and active since 2008, he is celebrated for bold productions and dynamic performances that bridge raw energy with refined detail. His releases span acclaimed labels including Nerve Collect, YUKU, Rhythm Section, Banoffee Pies, Naive, Nehza, and Casa Voyager. In 2024, his Mesh Mafhoom EP drew international attention, with the standout track Basha becoming a festival favorite. Earlier works like Shalfata and Fasla cemented his reputation for an unpredictable, distinctive sound championed by leading DJs worldwide. His track 3asabi was featured in First Floor’s “Favorite Tracks of 2024.” Recent highlights include live and DJ performances at CTM Festival, Rewire, Tresor, La Machine du Moulin Rouge, and festivals across Europe, alongside headline appearances in Egypt. Notable 2024 shows included Elevate (Austria), Insomnia (Norway), Electrosanne (Switzerland), Le Sucre Lyon curated by Deena Abdelwahed, and an Elicit Records showcase in Rotterdam.
